I firmly believe this and it is a profoundly nuanced and difficult take for me. Another thing is that Zack and Tim's writing style took over late night comedy, and was at the forefront of modern meta surrealism. Dave & Neal were straight ahead with culturally relevant stuff, & it's not evergreen.

It may not be the arena you frequent, but I Think You Should Leave is easily more culturally relevant and better than Dave's program. ITYSL has leaked into every facet of society. Chappie never got close beyond hipsters and people who had basic cable.
