Michigan just can't get comfortable against the Minnesota zone. Not making enough jump shots and turning it over while trying to force it inside. This is the style of game Minnesota wanted and that's why the Gophers are hanging around.

Bit of a weird first half. Michigan's defense was excellent but it shot 2-of-14 from three. Chad Baker-Mazara committed four fouls, and Yax Lendeborg went to the locker room with an apparent lower leg issue. After all of that, Michigan leads 49-31 at the break.

Michigan makes it look so easy. Wolverines were 21-point KenPom favorites against McNeese… they lead by 31 at the half. Eight different scorers, with the bigs leading the way. Johnosn has 13 and 6, Mara has 9 and 3 assists,and Lendeborg has 11 and five boards.

Michigan fouled a 3-point shooter up by 2 late but St. John's missed 2 of 3 free throws. Wolverines hold on and survive, 96-94, in overtime. Fun (and a bit ugly) exhibition. Lendeborg with 25 points, Morez Johnson with 15 and 8 (8 and 3 in OT). Cadeau 9 pts/9ast.
