Happy #indieanimationday everyone! After some delay, the Tombmates animatic will be knocking on your door September 25th! Thea, Simone, and myself have gone through quite a few changes since I graduated, so I hope you'll enjoy this odd "so grounded it's underground" comedy 🦇

Merry Krismas to those who celebrate! I took one of those UTDR soul quizzes and realized I hadn't really drawn a genuine Light World Kris before; here's a take on #myvessel from #Deltarune ♥️

Hey all, please sign the petition and share and get everyone you know to sign. You have no idea how hard these folks have been working and how much your support lifts their spirits. Show the Dark Horse workers your love and stand with them!

It's 2026. Draw that TTRPG scene that doesn't exist yet in the story! Fros and Tari here haven't danced together in canon, but that won't stop me from making cute visual fanfiction 💃🕺

Hey everyone! I just wanted to pass on the word that I've posted some new art related to a TTRPG campaign I'm on; the best place to find it is Insta and Tumblr. I learned more about digital painting and frog dissecting in the process, so here's a little sneak peek 💖

It's here, albeit severely broken on mobile (for now)! I've updated my portfolio site just in time for the new year: 💖 emmasewellart.neocities.org 💖

This past week, I've been working on a fun shot of President Mandy for the ongoing Billy and Mandy Underfist Reanimated Project; this part of the process was in rough animation territory, but I've made lots of progress since and can't wait to share it soon! 💀💖

Happy belated Global Cat Day to those who celebrate! It's been nice to hang out with my family cats post-grad, and like the figure on The Star tarot card I too have become their water bearer. Guess being an Aquarius comes in handy?

I've come to make an announcement: starting October 8th, I will be sharing my art processing and video gaming every Wednesday on Twitch! If you'd like to peek behind the curtain, now's your chance!

Did You Know? Last year, I worked on a collaborative animated short film called "Alien YU-RI", and it's available now for public viewing! It was seriously so fun to grow as a team and make something awesome ✨🛸🏳️‍🌈 ⬇️ Link Below ⬇️

It's dig deep for the bilbies time again! All donations made on March 27th will be doubled! Jax makes a cute bilby I think! No longer an invasive bunny he can help out the little guys in the meantime. donations.savethebilbyfund.org.au/digdeep2025/... | #tadc #bilby #bilbies #pvsart

Yippee yippee! I'm wrapping up the boards for my thesis, which leave editing aaaand...MARKETING WOO! I've started on the poster and uh,,, yeah it's going 🦇💖 (W.I.P)

A rough sketch of two people sitting back-to-back with abstracted sad expressions and streams of tears running down their face. The woman on the left is shorter, supporting herself on the dark pink grass below with her hands and looking up towards the sky. The person on the right sits taller, eyes closed and head tilted down towards the ground. They sit with mouths open as if singing, illuminated by the white stars on a slightly desaturated purple night sky with a shooting star on the left side.

While my thesis work is underway, I thought I'd share these pieces I made at the beginning of 2025 and 2024 to illustrate my goals for each year; I wanted to go with the flow before, but now I'm looking to keep my hope shining bright ✨

A humanoid goat woman, adorned with a large sweeping cape and goat's beard, reaches up towards a star-like light towards the top right of the image. Pink particles and stars surround her in the inky blue-purple night sky.

A humanoid goat woman, dressed in pajamas, surfs on the interior of a cyan and purple wave. Music notes and lines swirl around her form, and two of her limbs, closest to the camera, dissolves into a pink watery form while mostly maintaining their shape.

While my main deal is storyboards, I am a sucker for illustration and color work; both of these loves showed up in my character study work with Lego Monkie Kid's version of the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque! I still need to watch Season 5 this winter... #legomonkiekid #fanart #characterart

Casting is still in progress for my Tombmates thesis project and I'm currently working on whittling down auditions for Simone the vampire; I don't think I'll have a final decision by Monday's thesis proposal, but I can try lol 🦇💖

Hey y'all, I'm Em J, an ace storyboard artist (in both senses) and a digital illustrator with a love for the dramatic and whimsical! I'm currently developing my thesis "Tombmates". This Bluesky will be more focused on silly things, but my professional work can be found @ emjsewell.myportfolio.com 🌙
