In Enemy at the Gates Bob Hoskins plays Nikita Khrushchev and portrays him as a total badass. In one scene with a Red Army general who has fucked up royally, Khrushchev puts a pistol on the table and says "Perhaps you'd prefer to avoid the red tape." When I read the news, I think about that a lot.
