Fun Fact: The Velox GT was nicknamed "Magic Speed" given that it was made by the same company that made the Magic Wand.

A sports sedan that can go up to 660 HP and is insanely fast, but it's RWD meaning that it can oversteer and boy it did. Despite all of this however, it was put into production and only 60 of them were sold, making them a pretty unique unicorn car.

In 2004, Hitachi decided that they want to have a piece of that car culture pie. So they set up a motor division called Hitachi Motors and made their first ever car, the Velox GT.

One of the best parts about the car is that BMW kept losing in the American Le Mans Series to Porsche, said "fuck that!" and hired some Porsche engineer to create the M3 GTR out of spite against Porsche.

It ended up beating a Ferrari 348ts (which is a V8 supercar) in a drag race and it was actually insane. No one expected a pickup truck to actually beat a Ferrari and it actually did. It was shocking, surprising and insane and most importantly, it was amazing.

For context, GMC build the Syclone, which was a high performance sleeper truck that has the 4.3 L LB4 turbo V6 under the hood that produces around 280 HP and was able to go 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds.

>be Ferrari in the 90s >builds some of the fastest ever made (including iconic cars like the Testarossa and the F40) >has one of cars (that being the 348ts) challenged against a pickup truck ("lmao, ain't no way a truck from GMC can even win against the glorious Ferrari!") >lost to the truck >gmcwin
