That was one of the deciding factors for me to pick Shopify in the end. Squarespace is so restrictive, lacking third-party developments and integrations. While Shopify might be more expensive, but they license third-party devs to do things they can't or won't. Shopify got a marketplace for all that.

On another note, I do have CorelDRAW 2024 Suite as a one-time purchase. I got it since Affinity got bought out by Canva as an insurance policy. I've used CorelDRAW in the past so I know how it well it functions as an Illustrator replacement.

Affinity Designer is a solid substitute for Illustrator that I've been using for 3 years now to do convention banners and ads. There are no incentives to use Adobe unless you're using a corporate license from your employer. The only thing is they will pitch Canva plans. Don't accept any of them.
