I keep trying to find a use for a FOSSIL (Fido Opus Seadog Serial Interface Layer) type thing in modern times but so far not found an excuse for it. Maybe I need to start writing file transfer protocols & serial comms programs again

and 1 also from the 80s I really really wanted. the 2 I really wanted were Altos and Sun and did several interviews but didn't make the final cut but the 1 I really really wanted was Computer person for The Royal Opera House Covent Garden.

Talking to some people about jobs we wished we'd gotten but didn't. Wife had a political/community city job in the 70s she really wanted at the time but her brother sat on the hiring board and black balled her. I have 2 from the 80s that at the time I really wanted

I remember seeing ads for that and really really wanting one. it's actually a good job I had no money in the 80s (or now for that matter) as i'd have been buried under weird and wonderful computers. I already had several that visited me every few weeks when I couldn't get to the shop/office
