We can confirm that this issue was the result of a system error and that there has been no malicious activity. All affected registration statuses have now been restored to active, and registrants’ names have been reinstated on the public register.

We recognise the importance of maintaining accurate records and regret the disruption this error may have created. Our aim is to make the renewal process as straightforward and accessible as possible for all, and we regret that on this occasion we fell short of that standard.

We would like to inform you that we have recently identified a system glitch that has incorrectly marked all registrants that have been invited to renew their registration for 26/27 and not completed this on Friday 1st May 2026 as lapsed.
