Don’t get me wrong, every US citizen in every state is getting screwed over by Donald Trump’s heavy-handed attempt to stage a coup & take the control of our federal budget away from our elected reps in Congress. I’m just surprised people in red states are willing to take this theft sitting down.

Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys recorded “Stay All Night” in 1946; it’s attributed to Wills & Tommy Duncan. But the lyrics come from folk songs with roots in Black America and the Caribbean, from the work songs of Black stevedores who loaded cotton on to ships. This verse was first published in 1833.
