Imagine not being allowed to bring your spouse and children to safety with you. That's the reality for many refugees since family reunion was suspended last September. Families help each other learn, work and rebuild. Without a safe route to reunite, some are left with no option but smugglers.

Crisis creates distance: distance from safety, stability and each other. But whether someone lives 3 doors down or 3000 miles away, the distance between us is smaller than we think, if we have the #courage to take the first step. Stand with refugees this #WorldRefugeeDay @refugeeweek.bsky.social

In two months of war in Iran, the US has spent an estimated $25 billion. The same amount could: ➡️ Treat every malnourished child on earth 6 x over. ➡️ Provide remote pre-school education to children in Sudan, Gaza & South Sudan, 11x over. ➡️ Vaccinate all zero-dose children worldwide, 16x over.
A graphic titled "Cost to reach children with critical aid", featuring a short bar chart showing the costs of three interventions for children in need: $1.57b to vaccinate every zero-dose child worldwide; $2.2b to provide remote pre-school education in Sudan, Gaza and South Sudan; $3.9b to treat the world's malnourished children. Below this is the start of a bar showing the cost of 2 months of war in Iran ($25b), which goes on past the end of the page. The bar from the previous slide continues with different amounts marked along the way, and the words "still going" at the end. The bar from the previous slides continues, ending at $25 billion. Text above states this is equivalent to: 6x the cost of treating every malnourished child; 11x the cost of remote pre-school across Sudan, Gaza and South Sudan; 16x the cost of vaccinating every zero-dose child on earth.
