September 2025 @nationaltheatre.org.uk sees Rubasingham stamp her authority on the Olivier Theatre directing its first debut play, Bacchae, written by Heartstopper’s Nima Taleghani after Euripides. James McArdle and Clare Perkins will lead the cast in “a riot of lyricism, music and movement”.
