Heat exhaustion is dangerous. Heat stroke can be deadly. One cannot simply hydrate their way out of heat illness. Frequent rest breaks with ones whole body in the shade are a must. Heat can kill-especially if doing physically demanding work in high temperatures. 5/

It was 90° at 12:40 p.m. in Bakersfield. Farm workers were hard at work harvesting table grapes. They tell us it's even hotter under the vines where the air doesn't move. The grape season in Bakersfield begins in mid June and can extend up until early December. #WeFeedYou
