I realized it has been ~1.5 years since I concluded my series of post on JSON optimization. So I got curious how much faster it became since then. 2.7.2 was the last version before I took over maintainership. 2.9.0 was the version I released at the end of the blog series.

That's the difference between additive and subtractive manufacturing. Building the pyramids is additive (adding one layer at a time), whereas making a sculpture is subtractive (removing the pieces you don't want). So we have both in our everyday realities, and LLMs might be somewhere in between.

Not exactly correct. You can say "I am going to the market" before you complete your journey. The real difference is: > "To" indicates a specific destination or endpoint, while "towards" (or "toward") indicates direction, movement, or orientation without guaranteeing arrival at a final point.

Yes, and the 2x factor comes from the light not just bending in space but also in time. Without treating spacetime as a single entity in which gravity acts you don't get the full magnitude of the bend, which is one of the most fundamental results from both special and general relativity.
