Big news! Thanks to the American Heart Association Career Development Award, assistant professor Pim Oomen will be receiving $231,000 in funding over the next three years! This funding will help their research of sex hormones' impact on the heart through biophysics modeling!

In 2019, our BioENGINE (BME 180 Senior Design) students were tasked by Dr Sharief Taraman at CHOC to find a solution for Dylan, a cerebral palsy pediatric patient, who wanted to be able to write and perform daily tasks better given his tremors.
