so @aonorte.bsky.social had me design some stickers for their game - Tiny Garden - earlier this year for Kickstarter rewards!! it was such a fun process and enjoyed playing around with ways to turn their in-game crops into characters!!

expressive drawings of a carrot character, very cute drawings of characters shaped like carrots, they have silly faces on the main body of the carrot and stubby lil legs and arms

some shape drawings of peppers (mainly bell peppers) that have small silly faces that express some emotions, some are angry, some neutral and some happy, form and shape is simplified and explored in little detail

mock 3D sticker design made in blender that shows how the sticker would look one printed, colorful cactus that looks grumpy in focus above a bed of stickers that are slightly out of focus

mock 3D sticker design made in blender that shows how the sticker would look one printed, turnip character design that is sticking their tongue out and looks blankly, soft pinks and creams paired with light purple and dark green leaves that resemble some type of hair, character is in focus above a bed of stickers that are out of focus, there's depth and makes the sticker design pop

some pinterest studies I did to jump back into the character design zone

character design of a 80s business woman in a pink power suit with a cigarette in her hand. She has big floofy hair and is looking right at you, the viewer. She has bright green eyes and red lips. The background is blue.

Character design of a person holding groceries. This person has an oversized shirt on with a crop sweater vest as well as a long skirt on. They’re wearing loafers and has a cat to the (stage) left of them. The background is green.

A girl sitting down playing an electric guitar with her legs splayed out. She’s wearing docs with purple laces, and a feminine, purple top. She’s in the zone playing this guitar with little abstract shapes around her head. The background is pink.

quote repost with your art that has stars .ᐟ.ᐟ ‧₊ *:･ﾟ彡*

a friendly large character with a warm and vibrant star for a face, they give a smaller character a double thumbs up - a muted rainbow trail expelling from the wonky star characters head, characters are framed by a darkened arch with decorative wonky stars in both top corners of the piece

based off the Indus civilization that were pacifists - everyone had a stone tablet that included their roles within the society - generally what they worked on. this pieces composition takes reference from this ancient composition of a farmer god character, she has a simple otherworldy look to her, she is composed of soft rounded shapes and carries a seed bag with a decorative dress - she stands over a field being worked by smaller characters, she is sowing and cultivating farmers for the land - above her is a large tomato branch - the stems of the fruit look like stars with a few tomatoes on these stems, behind her, small hills and fields and trees that rest on their edges, the colors in this piece are warm and soft with gradients that help blend the colder tones into the warmer areas of the piece.

thinking of making a game about these plonkton - will be spending the next few weeks making a design doc and acquainting myself with unity, will make these babies in blender and start to flesh out a world, I'm excited :') wish me luck !! ⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ #gameart #conceptart #gamedev

re-imagined versions of microscopic plankton, using fun shapes, influences from sea creatures and crustaceans - mainly these characters are a little silly looking all drawn in pencil black and white but have a whimsical feeling to them in the way to move their bodies

concept sketches of glimpses of environments at the bottom of the ocean with some prop concept sketches of vessels harnessing bubbles as a way to hold objects and creatures

black and white sketches of coral reef structures that look similar to trees in a forest, some have seaweed bushes and shrubs decorating them, very wavy and fun exploration of what trees in an underwater location could look like

collection of fun little ocean flora and creatures that use bubbles and stars to add narrative to a location - the stars are part of the organic and natural world - they provide energy and a source of light for small creatures to navigate this world safely - a small character that has a bubble for their head and a body made of organic materials, al sketched in tonal values that help create contrast within their overall design
