Does anyone else pronounce “Bluesky” so it rhymes with “brewsky” 🍺? Me neither.

Kevin Becker @uberfy.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

Yes. I have a course in Kenya, and I enjoy making trophies for our tournaments and art to sell to support our costs.

My son today, with the infinite wisdom of an 11 year old, decided to let our adopted baby crow play with his shiny, cheap, metal ring. The bird promptly swallowed it, leading us to Dr. Google and all the horrific outcomes we should expect. Thankfully, after a few hours we found this gift. #crow

My first thought was a Throw Pink basket too. 💖

Is there anything LEGO can’t do? I’m using it to level the canopy of my copper wire trees on my disc golf trophies. #lego

I am raising a baby crow. His name is Rustle Enyr Crow. We found it on the ground a few weeks back before he was able to fly. Now he can fly a few hundred feet at a time, with the occasional bumpy landing. #crow

This will be our 3rd Kenya Open. I’m excited because the players who have been with us from the start are getting good enough to play in a higher division this year. Progress!

Kevin Becker @uberfy.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

It’s been slow so far, but the people who discover it really love it. My dream is to find more places that are able to install new courses here. I look forward to playing with you someday.

Huzzah! I got the 3rd trophy finished before 2025. The Kenya Open 2025 disc golf tournament takes place on February 22nd. #discgolf

I never used Twitter much, the format doesn’t click with me. Not a huge fan of this platform either for the same reason. I prefer seeing video of disc golf on IG and TikTok when it comes to disc golf.

I got my first ever ACE yesterday. It’s a Christmas miracle! #discgolf

(QRP means quote reply I’m guessing?) One of my first digital drawings, inspired by a page from one of my favorite childhood books. Can you name the book?

While making all of these tiny baskets for my disc golf trophies, I decided to make one into a Christmas Tree Ornament 🎄

I haven’t thrown an ace yet, so I’ll take any aces I can get! Thanks!

Just the one is done so far, with 10 or 11 more started. I will need around 8 for all the different divisions, plus a few extra to give away, keep, or sell. These are the ones I made for my past tournaments here in Kenya.

110

Kevin Becker @uberfy.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

The first one always takes longer, but I’m thinking about 3-4 hours.

Kevin Becker @uberfy.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

The trophy includes the whole base (shaped like Kenya) with the tree (an acacia) and the basket, made with Maasai beads. For the Kenya Open 2025.

This one? It would be a good design for me to try my first actual disc dye rather than using markers.

I’m off to Nakuru, Kenya tomorrow to introduce disc golf to 300 Ultimate Frisbee players at the national championships. Winners of the putting competition will get one of these Paul McBeth Foundation Kenya stamped discs. See everyone there on Saturday.

I started my disc golf journey here in Kenya back in 2021. This is a little art piece I made, borrowing words from Paul Simon’s “Under African Skies”.

The Kenya Open 2025 is on Saturday, February 22. PDGA rule 806.01 Putting Area Any throw made from within 10 meters of the target (Circle 1)… is a putt. After having released a putt, the player must demonstrate full control of balance behind the marker disc before advancing toward the target.
