UBCIC remembers MMIWG2S+ on the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Gender Diverse People.

White text on red background reads: Sisters in spirit… I can do a last minute UBCIC post-

Today, UBCIC remembers and honours MMIWG2S+ on the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Gender Diverse People. Formerly Sisters in Spirit day, we come together to remember and uplift those who left too soon, and who have disappeared. Indigenous women and girls and two spirit plus individuals experience disturbingly disproportionate rates of gender based violence, and we demand action from all levels of government. The National Inquiry’s Calls for Justice must be prioritized and implemented.
