A lovely little milestone: all 17 MVP works are now live on Typeden. Choice-based and parser IF, poems, short stories, essays and reviews — some light, some complex, some mature, some from the community. A small library, but already full of different voices and moods. #InteractiveFiction

Glulx is in! With Ink and Z-machine already running, all three runtimes planned for the Typeden MVP are now working. #InteractiveFiction #TextAdventure #IndieDev #Glulx

Classic parser IF has arrived on Typeden with Zork I, running on the Z-machine runtime. #InteractiveFiction #TextAdventure #IndieDev #Zork

Couldn't DM you, but would gladly take a look!

Can’t agree more. AI should support development, not replace the creative work.

Totally agree! Discoverability and accessibility go a long way here. Interactions & directions should be surfaced clearly, and hints should feel like part of the game.

And soon-ish in your palms too :)

Super cool! I’m experimenting with a similar premise: bringing IF to our palms through phones. Ink was actually the first runtime I got working end-to-end on Typeden!

Yes! That’s one of our very long-term goals. Imagine a branching Alien: Out of the Shadows-style story with a full cast, where you make the calls. 👽

Really neat concept! Is it primarily a desktop or mobile experience?

Love the limited color palette!

Ink is a great portable format, and GenAI can help turn a rough branching idea into a clean Ink structure very quickly.

I deeply believe in human literary craft and want Typeden to promote real authors while bringing classic and modern IF to mobile as authentically as possible. Thanks for following!

No, Typeden itself isn’t a gen AI product, and no AI is used on the platform. I do, however, use AI as part of my development process.

Very neat presentation, love the artworks and the SFX are haunting! The sanity system felt a bit easy to miss in the beginning, but added an interesting complexity to the game

I love so much the web 1.0 vibe of this, reminds me of simpler times 😌

Our first runtime, Ink, is now running end-to-end on Typeden! If you’re part of the lovely Ink community, what’s one thing a mobile reader should absolutely get right? #InteractiveFiction #Ink #IndieDev

Long term, I hope Typeden can grow into a welcoming home for digital literature: easier to discover, easier to read, open to new work, respectful of what came before, and shaped together with the community around it. Interactive fiction is where it begins. #InteractiveFiction #DigitalLiterature

That’s what I want Typeden to work on. It starts with interactive fiction and a mobile-first reader for everything from parser-based classics to modern choice-driven stories, while keeping the character that makes each form special.

There’s an enormous amount of interactive and digital literature out there, built across decades, formats and communities. Much of it is wonderful, but it can still be surprisingly hard to discover, access or simply enjoy today.
