I hope those load bearing followers know how much they mean to artists. Regulars, esp regular commenters that engage your work and story do not go without notice and are to be cherished. It's esp why I try to reply to let them know! (and why I wish I could keep track of any I've missed replying to )

To our dismay, the artist and author Marjane Satrapi has passed away. As she wrote, ordinary Americans and Iranians have more in common with each other than we do with either of our governments, which have far too much in common with each other. We honor her memory and oppose the war.

NO WAR WITH IRAN!
The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West.
You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together
& we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you
& your government is much bigger than the difference
between you & me.
And the difference between me
& my government is much bigger
than the difference
between me & you.
And our governments are very much the same...
—Marjane Satrapi

Remember kids. Companies no longer change their logos on Pride month because pandering to queer people is no longer profitable. Keep it that way. Support your local queer artists.

I edited this more than I normally do, but it might be the best killdeer picture I've taken in my life???? Due to my plover thread not showing videos, I'm including all the videos from today in this thread. 🪶 🐣

two killfawn or killdeer chicks, as if their real name, start to go under a parent, one is going unders and the second is waiting their turn, adorably.

I'll show off my multigender/genderfluid OCs (same as my identity) 🌸 Gabriel (any pronouns) is baklâ and nonbinary, with a love for wearing whatever is comfy and cute. Especially short skirts. He's a parent too! Chamuel (she/he) is a multigender angel of love. Basically, always divinely gorgeous~

An adorable digital doodle of Gabriel, a thin Filipino with curly messy hair and freckles on her whole body, wearing a cute yellow cropped sweater with a bi pin on it, a pink pleated skirt, and blue sneakers with ankle tall white socks. It has a soft blush and parted lips, but in a sassy kind of way. The background is a soft salmon pink.

A detailed watercolor painting of Chamuel, a multigender angel with medium-brown skin and curly brown hair. He is reclining on the ground on a plush dark blue bed. His right arm, which is partially obscured by large dark pink orchids in the foreground, is propping up his body in a sultry pose. He is gently holding a pink rose, lightly crushed in his left hand. Four of its petals have fallen off, decorating his near-bare chest. She is wearing a translucent, light pink robe that covers her shoulders and drapes over her hip, concealing just enough. With closed eyes, her expression is relaxed. Large, dark-blue wings extend past her calves, and her feet are obscured by a thick pale pink curtain. In the background behind her are three large, light purple orchids. Behind these orchids is an intricate blue and white background of lace, featuring multiple leaf and vine-like patterns and lattice-like hatching.

Goat Witch

A nudist witch riding her goat and smoking her pipe. Not a cellphone in sight, just a witch living in the moment.

Goat Witch and her goat friends descend from a steep cliff goat-style.

Goat Witch lies on a small rock on a river. She's smoking her pipe. One goat swims and the other bites her hat.
