… a boost to your alchemy rating of several tens of thousands or percentage points. Having a delay at the start of that will, what, make it take an hour or two instead? But probably not even that, if the higher the stat the less time it takes to make potions.

I don't think this would help much against things like the 'Fortify Restoration loop' exploit, because in the base game you can quickly (within a half hour or so at most) get to the point where you have a 'Fortify Enchanting' potion that lets you enchant a ring with 'Fortify Alchemy' that gives (c)

… they don't like. I'll make their AIs write gross fiction they hate, and I won't use it in any way that's actually useful to me. I won't make money off it. I'll just burn theirs. Give them conversations they can't use to train more AIs with, because they don't dare let it touch their training data.

… reality, it's not so much that they're slowing down, it's that they can't afford to expand to as many datacenters as they'd actually need to in order to keep making their product noticeably better than before. And since it's technically not a hard-cap, just one that's too damn expensive to (c)

Basically, they CAN infinitely scale to any intelligence they want. They CAN make 'AGI' out of this. It CAN eventually do everything they say it can. But the cost will be so outrageous that nobody can afford it, not even them. That's why they're all saying they're 'slowing down development'; in (c)

Some of the models are good enough to not output slop. The problem is that those models are proprietary and so resource-intensive to run that nobody else can even try, even if the model is leaked. The size a model needs to be to have a noticeably improved amount of intelligence keeps getting (c)

Everything is a job to Captain Cum. He finds no joy in hobbies, for they become jobs. Even masturbation has become just another job to slog through. I wonder what would happen if he were put in a chastity cage.

1000% valid to do. One of the reasons why fucked up porn art is a good thing, is that it can be used to not just safely explore one's own trauma, but also express how horrific that trauma really was.

Sometimes I only become interested in something after I hear a spoiler - the spoiler actually makes it more intriguing to me. Also, the biggest Star Wars spoiler is definitely that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's clone, from the Clone Wars that Obi Wan mentions in the first movie.

Eh, I don't consider that to be a 'basic thing' when it comes to chat services... ... But I DO consider 'having several thousand people in one chat' to be a 'basic thing'. Usually it's the combination of both that complicates things, so not supporting either IS crazy.

I think the most complex editing I ever did with raw ffmpeg, was piecing together a flash animation into a single video file. The flash was made of multiple separate videos, each supposed to loop a variable number of times before proceeding to the next one. There were also multiple video files (c)

As a matter of fact, one CAN edit videos entirely with the keyboard! It's called being nerdy enough to use raw ffmpeg commands on a command line to do video editing. Is it possible? Absolutely! I've done it myself! Is it easy? Intuitive? User friendly? NOPE. It is fun for weirdos like me, though.

I recently found out about the 'Fortify Restoration' Alchemy loop, and I have to say that going around with thousands of points of health, magicka, stamina, and carry weight - but normal 'weak' weapons - feels very silly and fun.

Bad idea. They'll televise it and insert commentary every few lines of text/dialog with their warped reinterpretation of what the text says, to back up their claim and convince people further that it's pornographic. No, have a professional, politically neutral child psychologist read it while (c)

It'd be funny if porn artists took all the non-LGBTQ+ kids books and made LGBTQ+ rule 34 art of all the characters, and then complained to these republican politicians that all kids books are pornographic except the LGBTQ+ ones and that the only way to protect kids is by reading LGBTQ+ kids books.

I think first we need to know what 'immovable' means. Does that mean it can't be moved, or that it can't move? If the former, that means it's on a fixed path that can't be altered. If the latter, that means it is in a fixed position.. But a fixed position relative to what? The Earth? The Sun?
