For me specifically; when I'm texturing directly in blockbench I prefer to us UV-project from view. That way the surface im using is treated as flat, and I can more easily draw on the surfaces without them being all randomly chopped up. But primarily, my workflow is BB-Aesprite-and back to BB.

perfect, I use Blender(highpoly) and Blockbench(lowpoly), along with Aseprite for my textures. So if your primarily using blockbench there are alot of great tutorials from Hawkon, Countfrogg and BrandonJamesGreer.

I still love and use blender primarily for my 3D work cause I love the customization and I was trained in Maya so the UI is easier for me to get into. That said, I still find block bench alot of fun, and for my Lowpoly work its ability to do pixel art is really useful!
