yurh, been taking my time making content is all I have exetober sketches lined up, but I've been on and off with them since I don't want to burn out I also want to give each video some special audio for each image, that takes some time to work out lastly, working on videos for youtuber in general

another thing to note is I had completely drafted out yokubo's comic in mspaint, but I was unsatisfied with the pacing and framing that came with being restricted to a single panel I felt I was framing it as more of an animatic than a comic, and so I took some time to rethink the approach

here is a low quality screenshot of the mspaint file I doodled most of the comic on

I may be more open about it, but I'm not going to outright spoil the big stuff

at the time I drew this, I also drew these just some recent concepts readapting the animal buddies from the original game of course I rethought how they fit in lore wise, but after doing that I tried working out details about their designs and functions and yes, sanity meter :)

doodles of animal husks

there is the rabbit, the chicken, and the bird

each having varied levels of mutilation

here is an idea for the squirrel, this little creepy crawly thing going on

some more designs I've been holding on to Kito was the easiest to design I believe, and was the first

clownish looking hedgehog, bright red nose and cheeks

a hat sits atop one ear, while the other droops down with a ring

wears an open vest and baggy pants

a lankier hedgehog, robes drooping from its frame

in fact, it starts to look rather droopy overall

I changed the vest to a coat on gekido, something a little more rough

smug hedgehog, holding a long stick, adorning clothing fit for a hot environment.

although he wears a hat here, he does not adorn it in the final comic

this is just a doodle but I have been writing, rewriting, writing, rewriting, and writing. safe to say I'm really pleased with how it reads currently, and now that finals are almost over, I can start working on comics again. spent all this time hyping up bark, who is barely important 😔
