Check out this opal I grew! It appears completely white but displays the entire visible spectrum as it’s rotated around a light source. White light enters the structure and is split into individual wavelengths.

New Tyler Thrasher DLC just dropped. Just whipped up blue opal in my studio/ lab. I’ve always wondered if I could impregnate my synthetic opal with a pigment and the answer is “sort of”. I think I went a little heavy handed on it. I’ll have to dial back the amount of pigment next time.

You’re looking at a close up of the world’s first opalized flower synthesized and created in my lab/ studio. The opal exhibits every color on the visible light spectrum as changes color as the angle of light changes. The little brown fragments are of a flower permanently encased in the opal.
