Shigeru was such an incredible protagonist, he’s currently my favorite Showa Rider.

Panel 1: bearded Trucker says “Now who the heck put this junk in the road?”

Panel 2: Lucille Bluth looks suspicious.

Panel 3: Man removes beard, it’s Shigeru Jo! He says “That would be me!”

Here’s the thing, I like the Zeztz ExDream Driver A LOT buuut the ExDream Capsem is a bit bulky. I really hope Baku can use this driver with his old Capsems too, because Physicam Impact with the new Driver on would look incredible!

I really need to read the Kamen Rider Gotchard book. I so admire the idea of putting season 2 in a book and just going all-out on new forms. They even released some art for those forms! And there’s EVEN MORE forms that don’t have art yet!

SHOWA RIDER RANKING! I’ve been doing a dive into the Showa Era and I’m really enjoying it! So far in order of personal preference here’s my ranking: 1. Stronger 2. Zo 3. Amazon 4. J 5. Shin 6. ZX Stronger edges out the others because of Tackle, a really interesting villain group, and great fights!

Me watching Kamen Rider Stronger:

Four panel meme. First panel shoes a bearded man in a hat driving a truck with the text saying “Now who the heck put this junk on the road?” The second panel is Lucille Bluth looking suspicious. The third panel the man removed his hat and beard and it’s Shigeru Jo! The text reads “That would be me!” The final panel is an excited Lucille Bluth and the text reads “SHIGERU JO!!!”

Maybe Stronger? His suit looks a little goofy next to modern day ones but in his own series it actually rules.

Wanted to say thank you to @theop.games for Flip7. My 4 year old daughter played it with her Uncles and Aunts this Easter and not only was she able to understand but she was RUTHLESS and had a ton of fun! (Plus as her Dad I got to use this as an opportunity to help her practice recognizing numbers!)

Kyuranger as DnD Characters 4: Stinger! The team’s spy, he makes a perfect Rogue and his natural mastery of Poison/Antidote is reflected in the Assassin subclass and Poisoner/Healer feats. As a Simic Hybrid he has a grappling appendage(tail) and the Hoopak is a finesse Spear to sneak attack with!

What a wild trip through the Amazon. The remakes were a little too grimdark for me but the original was hilariously violent in that 70’s cheap special effects kinda way. All in all a really fun chapter of Kamen Rider!

Haven’t seen Tojima yet but I agree. And my final argument: she has her own Rider Machine. That makes her more of a “Masked Rider” than 90% of the 300ish Riders that came after her.

I agree with every part of this and as an additional point: AI DOESN’T UNDERSTAND SATIRE. Here’s my favorite example of what happened when you google “How many small rocks should I eat?” And it pulls from The Onion. If your “research tool” can’t identify satire it’s not worth shit.

I’m sorry, Nox Knight’s mission suit is called KNIGHT PAJAMMER!?!? That’s cute as hell! I might start calling my kid’s PJs Knight Pajammers from now on. Kamen Rider Zeztz is low-key a very silly show at times.

Lately I’ve been following the journeys of folks who collect Lego Spacemen, and maybe I’m just too Power Rangers-brained but I’m always thrilled when a new color releases. It’s fascinating when the pieces are spread across different sets and the effort it takes to get each piece in the right color!

[Spoilers up to Ep 27 Kamen Rider Den-O] This is easily the best in-show movie promotion I’ve ever seen. Having time travel shenanigans happening in the background of a regular Den-O episode and Ryotaro being occasionally kidnapped “for the climax scene” only to return with no memories is hilarious.

Dishonorable mention: Kamen Rider Desast How do you go from being a Skeletal Bony dude to a Rider with ZERO bones!? 0/5 Bones.

1. Kamen Rider Skull Neck down his suit is minimalist, black with silver lines denoting ribs. Neck up, holy shit! Skull’s helmet IS a skull, it’s perfectly terrifying alone, then he accessorizes with a tattered scarf and fedora and all of a sudden he’s intriguing. 5/5 Skull and Crossbones ☠️ ☠️ ☠️ ☠️ ☠️

170

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

2. Kamen Rider Genm The OTHER reason I included zombies on this list is Genm! Truly the most “undead” of any Kamen Rider, Genm’s Dangerous Zombie form breaks through the game screen of his henshin and becomes a problem for anyone in his way. 5/5 Bones 🦴 🦴 🦴 🦴 🦴

240

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

3. Kamen Rider Caries The newest Rider on this list but Teeth ARE bones! And man, what an evil tooth this guys is! The jagged lines of red and purple denote decay at the heart of this clawed tooth, and they picked the perfect shade of white! 4/5 Bones + 1 Tooth 🦴 🦴 🦴 🦴 🦷

120

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

4. Kamen Rider Buffa Buffa is one of the main reasons I included zombies on this list. Sure other Geats Riders have used the Zombie Buckle, but none of them look as good as Buffa. The ribcage, the subtle lines on the chinstrap that evoke a skull, really incredible stuff. 4/5 Bones 🦴 🦴 🦴 🦴

140

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

5. Kamen Rider Dread I remember when Dread appeared in Gotchard and I thought ‘this changes EVERYTHING!’ And while I was wrong I still love the suit. The orange and red burning behind the metallic blue bones, the horned skull helmet, that scarf!! 3/5 Bones 🦴 🦴 🦴

120

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

6. Kamen Rider Saber Saber’s Primitive Dragon Form is based on Dragon Bones and that’s just cool. The light blue tint doesn’t exactly feel like the right choice but I love the skeletal claw across his chest. 3/5 Bones 🦴 🦴 🦴

220

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

7. Kamen Rider Eden Ok…This guy has no bones. BUT! Those glowing red lines are meant to be blood vessels and that’s still spooky body horror. Plus his theming is the extinction of the human race so I think he’s zombie-ish too. Ironically enough Eden still gets 2/5 Bones 🦴 🦴 and 1 Blood🩸

120

Tyler Mc @tylermc.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

8. Kamen Rider Fifteen Now this guys got some bones! He’s got a sick sword, metallic ribs, and bones going up his arms and legs! Hell yeah! The helmet and name are what brings him down. I get why he’s called Fifteen but it’s still a lame name and the helmet has too much going on. 2/5 Bones 🦴 🦴
