Here’s something I see a lot: “the most important thing you can do is spread the word about the threats to democracy!” But if our goal is “saving democracy,” then is talking about the threats to democracy a winning strategy? Most data says no, for most voters www.criticalmass.vote/p/does-talki...

Does Talking About Threats to Democracy Actually Get People to Vote?
“The most important thing you can do is spread the word about threats to democracy!!” Is it, though?

If the resistance to this deal collapses it will shift the news and entertainment industries in an autocratic direction for years. It would mark a democracy emergency on par with a situation where SCOTUS would have let the USPS keep its mail ballot restriction. www.status.news/p/ellison-s-...

Tired, desperate, loser behavior by a regime that will continue to cheat to grab and hold onto power. What they don’t know is they can’t stop us. We’ll vote, and we’ll win. apnews.com/article/trum...

Not only did we win and protect mail-in voting but Trump and authoritarians lost AGAIN. They are losing a lot and it matters:

It's so important to celebrate wins, like the Court's decision to shut down Trump's mail voting rule. In autocracies, people join the side they perceive to be winning, so we have to show them we're winning! My post below talks more about some of this research: www.criticalmass.vote/p/heres-why-...

Today, the Supreme Court affirmed what we've long known: Americans can vote in whatever way is most convenient for them, whether that’s by mail, via a ballot drop box, early in-person, at a polling location on Election Day.

DHS Sec. Mullin claimed ICE could enter polling places, so he just got sued by Democracy Forward and others. My new post: this lawsuit is part of the same people-powered, anti-authoritarian playbook that pushed federal agents out of Minneapolis last winter. www.criticalmass.vote/p/voters-jus...

This is yet another desperate attempt to grab power. The President has no authority over our elections, and firing EAC commissioners does nothing to change that.
