I think our values are more aligned than your first instinct may have led you to believe. I think the anthropogenic destruction of the natural world is indeed a stain on humanity. In my mind, ending ICEs (both of them 😏) would be a huge step towards that goal and we need cobalt and nickel for that.

The honest env ? isn’t extraction vs. no extraction. It’s whether the land gets managed as a closed loop (reclamation, remediation, restoring the site after) or treated as a one-way extraction with no plan to return anything to the system. That’s the fight worth having, not whether the mine exists.

We do. Ni and Co are primary inputs for battery tech that goes into electric cars. Supporting mines like this and the facilities that convert the materials into green tech will help end the burning of fossil fuels. We wish you loved solutions that solve the problem more than virtue signalling. 🙄

I love the idea of leveraging our blessings of immense natural resources. I’m curious to known if there is also a plan to do the value add for these resources here at home. it would be a shame if we are just exporting our raw wealth so other countries can sell finished product back to us at premium.
