I used to have a lot of self doubt when it came to making art, I felt the need to punish myself in order to get better. All it did was freeze me with art block and avoidance of a blank canvas, my relationship with art took at least 8 years to mend.

I love art for arts sake, I can get "better"and practice more, but did I have fun in the end or get stressed out because it wasn't perfect? Artist put too much pressure on themselves to be the best or get "better" when the simple thing do do is to be yourself and have a good time.
