take up watch repair, they said. it's a good time, they said. there's no parts the size of a grain of sand, they said.

parts from a pocket watch laid out on a piece of tissue paper. there are many. they are small.

close up of the balance wheel and its disassembled balance jewels. the jewels are grain-of-sand sized rubies, used as a bearing to eliminate most friction for the balance wheel.

oh my god I'm OBSESSED with the pokemon sleep latias' eyeliner

latias with the black line around her eye drawn in such a way that it's thicker on the outer edge of the eye, like eyeliner. the black line also doesn't go all the way around, indicating this was a deliberate choice.

same latias in a different shot, more from the front. again, the black line doesn't go under the eye.

same latias with a partially-closed eye. the upper eyelid does a swoopy thing on the outer edge. idk I just like how this looks.

first attempt at crosseye stereophotography! if you haven't seen this before, cross your eyes and line up the green dots. the image should be in 3D. subject: garden quartz magnification: 15x

crosseye 3D render of a previous piece of art I made with my bird dragon Cay in a crystal. I call it a paperweight but it's like a crystal stasis thing.

keeb got a new outfit. tofu60 redux case, x-ray keycaps.

two white shrinkwrapped boxes. both have big, barely-readable white text that blends into the white of the box. the top contains a Tofu 60 Redux keyboard case by kbdfans. The bottom contains X-RAY keycaps by pbtfans.

an all-white keyboard. the case is white, the keycaps are white, even the letters on the keycaps are white. each letter has a bit of a 3D effect since they have been shot through a clear layer on top of each key. the delete keycap is in the wrong row and sticks out a little, which you probably wouldn't have noticed if you didn't read the alt text.

the same white keyboard with some LEDs glowing underneath a few of the keys. it's really hard to get pictures of this effect that look good.

if you gotta fly really damn fast, you better know where you're going. glass dragons deploy a flock of tiny bird-like pathfinder drones to fly ahead and find safe routes through obstacles. green paths are open, yellow paths are narrow or treacherous, and red paths are impassible.

a dragon flies with a flock of tiny bird-shaped devices. in front of the dragon, some of the birds have shot off to find a navigable path, leaving lines of colored light behind them: green for safe, yellow for a tight fight, and red for impassible. one of the red lines ends in a shattered bird. in the bottom left of the image, there is a top, side, and front view of the design of the bird devices. they have a sleek and featureless shape, with a pointed tip leading to two curved wings.

ok like this isn't how anatomy works at all but if I don't stop working on it I'm gonna go insane this was supposed to be PRACTICE txt

cay but front-facing. idk how her eyes are supposed to work yet. also this isn't front facing this is more like...her snoot is pointing down but her eyes are pointing up??? dragons are hard ok this would make a lot more sense if her head was actually pointing forward.

I consider diatoms to be among the most beautiful organisms. a great source of inspiration both visually and biologically.

a microscopic image of various diatoms from wikipedia. they come in a vast array of primarily simple geometric shapes, like circles, discs, triangles, cubes, ovals, and so forth. their hard, glass-like frustule (cell wall made of silica) exhibits structural coloration, leading to a wide range of dazzling colors.

I use ultra pro one touch card holders, they keep the card nice and flat and they're UV resistant. they're also held closed by a magnet so you can open them easily. I just prop them up in my display case! you want the 35pt variety. ultrapro.com/products/uv-...

[old art] sorry you two, I'll try to give you more attention this year...

chime, the glass dragon. a body that is half wyvern half crane, with sharply angled wings and a fan-like tail. the head has a dragonish quality but with a crest of feathers and small, thin horns. there are spots all over the body under the feathers. the elbow of the right wing sports three claws fabricated from bits of glass. the claws are held up, and from them emanates a cone of light in which a few small geometric shapes hang suspended in midair.

not sure about this one yet. the idea is to get aerodactyl out and then use a combination of corner + sabrina + flute to constantly trap a basic mon in the active spot and prevent it from evolving. a lot of things need to go right for this to work.

a pokemon tcg pocket deck. 2x ekans, 2x arbok, 2x aerodactyl ex, 2x potion, 2x pokeball, 2x x speed, 2x old amber, 2x pokemon flute, 2x professor's research, 2x sabrina

oh yeah here's the full res avatar change

it's iris being a very happy latias! where a regular latias would have red feathers, her feathers are super super super light blue, almost white. she also has a rainbow halo behind her head (the optical phenomenon kind caused by ice crystals in the air, not the religious kind, although she is something of a minor deity of sorts).

I've been using this deck in pocket to great effect. The core concept is to use Mankey's self-damage to unlock Primeape's +60 damage. There are no other basic mons in the deck to guarantee a Mankey on turn 1. The fossils help with setup and blocking damage, plus discard for easy swaps.

A Pokemon TCG Pocket deck featuring the Mankey and Primeape line. 2x promo Mankey, 2x Primeape, 2x pokeball, 2x potion, 2x X speed, 2x professor's research, 2x Sabrina, 2x Giovanni, 2x old amber, 2x helix fossil
