It's a death by a thousand cuts. Every road block knocks a few more people out of the process until we're outnumbered, and it's hard as hell to get those people to believe their vote matters. Photo ID, suspense list, closed polling locations, irregular hours, the DPS fuckup. It all suppresses.

I'm not defending the suppression; it's real and it's bad. I'm cautioning about accidentally telling voters they're ineligible when they're not. This can still be fixed, but time is running out. Suspense list voters can still vote.

It means that the county registrar probably needs verification of your address. It's a matter of filling out an affidavit at the early vote poll or at the registrar's office before the election. Waiting until election day is a bad idea. We have a suppression problem, no doubt.

The suspense list is not "kicked off" the roll. They do need to vote early to make sure they can get things straightened out, though. There's more than one polling location per county. I think you're thinking about the pandemic when there were drop boxes, but that's over now. Don't misinform.

Just renewed my volunteer deputy voter registrar application. I don't see many people, but I want to be able to help anybody I work with to get involved. I know it expires in December, but I have through October 5 to make a difference. Every race, every election, every time.
