I will be at California City on 8/25 at 4pm. On the corner by city hall prior to their council meeting. Protesting against Core Civic and the permit being applied for the detention center in California City. Feel free to join me.

I will be in Cal-City at 5 today to support the ACLU's press conference about the detention center. We have been saying the place was unfit for humans, and shouldn't get a permit. In order to get around this the U.S. Gov has bought the detention center so they don't have to get a permit.

I went to the 4th of July parade today in Tehachapi, with Sandra Van Scotter. It was a hoot seeing my neighbors.

Well I went to the farmers market today. It was kind of fun talking to people and getting support from random folks. The negative response I used to get has diminished a lot over the last year.

Here I am on the corner supporting the woman rally in Tehachapi 6=24-26. I am on the corner of the famers market every Thursday and I attend all the rallies I can. I just don't have the resources to travel far. However making a statement here in a small red town is at least something.

Here are some ideas to make the US better. This is not refined as to how to do them, just intended to get people thinking about them.

I am planning on a rally here in Tehachapi on 1/20/26 at 2pm. This is the 1 year annicersary of Trumps admin. and we will be gathering as a show of resistance to all his policies. We must resist!

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

I attended the planning meeting last night and it appears California City is determined to give Core Civic it's permit to operate, even though it has been doing so illegally for months. The city doesn't want to enforce its own codes and laws. We must resist!

Tuesday 12/16 California City City Council will be having a hearing about Core-Civic's permit to operate a detention center. I will be there at 3:30 to have encourage them to reject the permit. As well as speak at the meeting.

Here is a progressive Democrat running for Lt. Gov of California. I have met Oliver and he is smart and a hard at work fighting Trumps immigrations policies. Sign up if you want to know more or help him at: www.mobilize.us/olivermaforl...

I don't plan on buying any presents in corporate stores, or use corporate shipping. I will make personal gift for those close to me and spend time with the ones I love. I will support local craftspeople and tribal shops along with private business, preferably non-MAGA. In Solidarity

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

Just thought I would let everyone know. I'm going to be outside California City, City Hall at 4pm tomorrow. With signs to get the California City Council to enforce the law and shut down Core Civic Detention center. It is operating illegally and they need to enforce the laws.

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 19/10/2025

Thanks I will, I've been on the corner in my town for over 9 yrs now. Even though the town is red, I have been speaking up against Trump and MAGA.

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 17/10/2025

I'm looking forward the the No Kings rally. Be safe out there, we know Trump and his cronies are lying about the threat of our protest. Take your cameras and film to catch ICE in the act of being out of control. In Solidarity! Image from No Kings I.

I'm going back to California City today at 4pm to stand on the corner for an hour prior to the City Council Meeting. I am protesting against Core-Civic and the detention center. If anyone joins that's great people in the community don't seem to know what's going on in their own city.

I plan on being in California City tomorrow, speaking out against Core Civic and it's criminal practices at the detention center.

131

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

I will be in California City tomorrow from 4:30 until the city council meeting at 5:30. Standing on the corner advocating the closing of the Core Civic detention center. It is illegal and unsafe, so it should be closed.

0124

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 17/09/2025

Hard to get a rally going if it is a secret. I'm proud to stand up and speak out against the wrongs of MAGA and Trumpism. I admit to being shamed in the 80's and 90's about being a liberal and holding my tongue but no more!

172

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 15/09/2025

If you don't stand for nothing you will fall for anything. I stand for empathy, compassion, faith and dignity of spirit. I will stand in the breach to protect the children and my family. Not rudderless but purpose driven.

010

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 10/09/2025

I will be on the corner of Tucker and Valley in Tehachapi from 2:30-4:30 Thursday trying to get the word out about prop 50 and the Nov 4th election. We have to resist and this is part of it to resist what Texas is doing.

031

Sam @tx-sam.bsky.social · 09/09/2025

Looks like they had snipers in L.A. ready to target anti-ice protesters. Sooner or later someone is going to get killed by the idiot policies in the White House.
