i want to say thanks to marathon for finally getting me to play destiny! starting a game at the end of its life is a little bittersweet, but having nearly 10 years of bungie goodness to chew through (all for $25🤯) is super exciting! i hope bungie thrives so we can get more marathon AND more destiny!

i hit a few huge marathon milestones this past weekend: LEVEL 100, PLATINUM TROPHY, FIRST TWO COMPILER KILLS. all it took was 200+ hours and getting carried by some awesome guys through Cryo. i love this game to death. art, music, sound, guns, & design are all best in class. cant wait for season 2!!

dragon quest VII reimagined demo is so wonderful, the diorama style using scans of real life dolls for the characters is absolutely stunning & the combat is super fun and snappy. i played maybe 15 hours on 3DS but never finished it so i am really excited to finish DQ7 with this lovely new version!!

i have such a large and odd adoration for the 1960s version of hank mccoy as beast. before he was blue and furry he was just an enormous nerdy boy and i kind of love that. i’ll aways love beastie! but there’s a certain feeling he has here that feels like it never returns after he joined the avengers

played an hour of jet set radio future on the microsoft xbox (2001) and omg this already plays 100 times better than the OG.. the characters are fast, camera/graffiti are on seperate buttons, easier tricks & vertical movement. love JSR and love the dreamcast but this leaves the OG in the dust so far

genuinely for no reason at all and just for fun here is my ranking of all the mainline pokemon games i see a lot of disrespect for gen 1&2 on these lists so im putting out my energy in the world the GB games deserve love. they have secret sauce that even though i love the remakes its not the same!

tier ranking the pokémon games:
s tier: heartgold/soulsilver, black2/white2, gold/silver, emerald
a tier: crystal, platinum, red/blue, black/white, firered/leafgreen, omega ruby/apha sapphire
b tier: ruby/sapphire, ultrasun/ultramoon, sun/moon, yellow, sword/shield, diamond/pearl
c tier: x/y, let’s go pikachu/eevee, brilliant diamond/shining pearl
havent played: legends arceus, scarlet/violet

guys the cute winged rat in the duskbloods is our firekeeper and they made it cute because it’s on nintendo 😭😭😂 this is amazing news www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/...

screenshot of nintendo switch 2 creator’s voice interview with hidetaka miyazaki of fromsoftware. text:

That reminds me, I was curious about the winged rat character seen in the trailer. Can you provide some details as to what role this character serves?

That character shares a similar role with the fire keepers from the Dark Souls series. They remain in the hub area, providing the player with advice and guidance.

I suppose you could say we tried doing something a little Nintendo-esque in the spirit of the partnership.

What do you mean by that?

We tried something cute for a change. Although I will say this character is actually an elderly gentleman (laughter).
