Hard to believe that Claw of the Law is 🔟 years old today! 🎉 This 80-minute movie was filmed over the course of 6 weeks in January and February 2015 before having to be entirely re-edited just days before release due to a hard drive failure. Still very proud of this film!

I find the history of this Thomas to be super interesting. Kiddie City was a chain of toy stores run by Lionel that closed in summer 1993. And with an approximate TWR release date of spring 1993, this Thomas with this sticker was only on the shelves for a handful of months. Wild!

Just a few random TWR items that have visible copyright/recall information where you don’t normally see it.

This disposable camera from 2006 allowed you to superimpose yourself into photos with your favorite Thomas & Friends characters! 📸 It’s a little late to try and get these developed, but what a novel way to create some memories before image editing became as easy and mainstream as it is today.

My Secret Santa for 2024 was WilburPYouTube and he pulled out all the stops. Not only did he get me two items I’ve never owned, but he also immortalized two movie scenes from my Thomas Wooden Railway series on paper. Thank you for your friendship and incredible drawing skills, Will!

Two versions of the Spiteful Brakevan’s packaging: one spelled “Breakvan” from 2001 on the left, and the other spelled “Brakevan” from 2005 on the right.

Britt Allcroft, the creator of the “Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends” TV series, has died at the age of 81. I would not be who I am today, and not know the incredible people that I know, without the influence Thomas on TV. Thank you for making childhoods better everywhere. Rest in peace, Britt.
