iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Oh, that makes a lot of sense! Is it a bit like connecting the dots, then? That's how it often turns out for me: "how the heck do I get these ideas I want to make sense together?!"

I'm hoping this class helps me level up my visual communication skills, especially my action scenes. Fingers crossed 🤞!

My solution is to use acting to make the rabbit seem like a cocky, arrogant jerk-- basically bully the old man turtle and not even wait for an official start to the race before he hares off on his own.

"How do you get an audience to root for your protagonist's downfall?" Hard mode: he's a cute little bunny rabbit. I'm working on storyboarding a tortoise and the hare story, but one problem is that fluffy, bouncy white rabbits are way cuter than plodding tortoises (to most people!).

I always wonder what it's like for you guys that love world building because I have so much trouble with it! From the outside it seems like a good problem to have, but maybe it's a lot rougher on creatives than it seems?

Damn, Fuga 3?! I thought Fuga 1 was pretty good, I didn't realize the series was popular enough for third installments!

I do think I'll get faster and better at this over time but right now it does feel like opening up my PC tower and painstakingly replacing almost everything in it with new parts lol

Have you ever taken a long break from a skill to work on stuff that's sort of related and in theory will help your original skill but then you have to apply it and you're like ARGH, BUT HOW DO I APPLY IT that's me that's my struggle

Make the composition interesting Think about negative space Put new information in every panel Draw better suits How to use limited palette??? Draw better people hrngh Make better decisions about details Perspective Ponytails

This comic I'm working on is taking FOREVER even though it's only 9 pages long and I think it's because I'm trying to apply everything I've been learning at once

Thanks for the laugh this morning, I needed it 😁

I didn't realize how far the spread had gotten. I guess as the equivalent of a salaryman, I'd never really worried about my social media presence -- nor had to. And to be honest, I liked it that way! If I had to be a TikTok nurse or something just to have a job... man oh man.

This is a great peek behind the curtain! And a good impetus to have better sketchbook habits; I don't always remember to do it before I jump into a drawing, myself 😅

Hey! They're double-dipping! ...but who can blame them 😁

Sounds like the devs know what their audience wants, then :). Forza fans seem pretty stoked whenever I hear about the games

Yeah, it's tough to stick that landing -- even pros don't always get it right!

I can't remember the last time I picked up a racing game, but those are some pretty, pretty cars

That is adorable, she might have a future career in improv 😁!

Thank you as well for sharing! Now I'm thinking about visiting Portugal! ✨

As someone who enjoys eggs and hash browns (and some nice crispy bacon): awww, man! I can definitely understand feeling discouraged about our collective progress, though. I want humanity to have that hopeful, Star Trek future! 🌌

Holy cow, this is beautiful. It kills me that there are so many amazing things in the world that I don't even know about. Look at that goldwork, it's just exquisite...

Here's one! People are much more willing to engage with shows, music, food, comics, etc. from other cultures. These days I'm still kind of gobsmacked when someone non-disapora casually mentions enjoying jjajangmyeon. A decade or two ago, I couldn't pay my friends to even try it!

Oh yeah, definitely looking forward to that switch 2 🎮

Yes!! Have any games you're looking forward to?

Yes, I'm very excited for it! Been waiting for 10 years for another Majima game 😊

Whoa, that's some beautifully brushed black! Clean!

The walleye gets me every time I look at this bird, adorable
