Sometimes it takes someone who is bold enough to own a painting that will take you on a journey… not everyone is built to own something like this… I fear I may need someone to come save me? “Kunsttrieb” #art #artist #alliesummers

Tonight I taught drawing from the figure. Gerry is a rockstar subject. I do quick 1-2 minute sketches while my students work!

Sometimes you cannot leave well enough alone… She has been on my easel for far too long and of course there was drama… so drama came a calling. Now I will stare at it until I paint the next one… #painting #art #artist #alliesummersmodel

Is there anyone with light colored hair out there who might be interested in letting me paint their portrait. This is a quick sketch of the pose and look I am thinking. Please let me know? #portrait #artist #model

Last night of the semester… live figure drawing! My students did a great job! I try and sneak in a few quick ones myself during each pose!

Celui qui n’est pas républicain à vingt ans fait douter de la générosité de son âme; mais celui qui, après trente ans, persévère, fait douter de la rectitude de son esprit. N’est pas?

It is always wonderful when people send you photos of your work out in the wild. “Six Buddha” in the Governor‘s office in Dover.

There were a lot of questions about the shapes that show up in my paintings… sometimes it is just math and sometimes it is a secret… here is a good example. Extra points if you recognize the shape!

During tonight’s class we had a live model. I spend most of the time walking around helping the students, but sometimes I try and whip something out as the seconds run out.
