One of the better of the never ending releases since 1970. The BBC Sessions are essential but the fact that they are ‘stereo processed’ and not in mono as recorded looses them a point. Unprocessed versions are freely available.

Been having at least three a week for the past month. May be more but as I keep blocking the numbers I can’t really tell. Rubbish really. Almost makes me nostalgic for the days when lonely Russian women sent me marriage proposals & Nigerian princes were dying to give me millions.

I know what you mean about the myth machine. Still have both the albums that I bought then. At the time they were just another interesting band (see Killing Joke, Cure, Bauhaus) but when Curtis died the music press started to build them up into something else.

I saw Thin Lizzy at Skipton Town Hall, Nov ‘74. Classic lineup. Place was virtually empty. Last time was St George’s, Bradford & it was packed.

I did the artwork for the live release and all the revamped artwork for Moraz’ back catalogue when they came out on cd. Must say he was very forthcoming with photos for the booklets.

Stopped at Siren. Don't have it any more, still have the first four. As for Queen I tried listening to II the other week and just couldn't get through it. Sold all my Queen albums and singles many years ago.

For me it was the same with Roxy Music. Saw them on their first UK tour, 24 Nov '72. Their first two albums were exceptional, but started to have my doubts after that. Saw them a couple more times but the Siren tour at Leeds Uni, 4 Oct 1975, was the end for me. They had become bland & predictable.

Last time I saw them was in 1975, time of Bohemian Rhapsody & Night at The Opera album. Didn't particularly warm to that LP after the first three & the gig didn't have the same vibes as the times before. Each album & single after that seemed to get worse. But then I'm in a minority.
