Twile @twile.bsky.social · 21/08/2026I'm so tired of investing myself into imbalanced relationships. I have to cut this shit out. The feeling is a cancer that eats at my soul. 130

Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/03/2025Do we want to see what framerates a CPU could support if the GPU wasn't the bottleneck? Of course. Knowing you have headroom for the future so you can upgrade your GPU without your CPU limiting you is valuable. But so is knowing that upgrading your CPU today won't do a damn thing for you. 020
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/03/2025There's no fucking point showing that a $2000 GPU and a $500 CPU can hit 500 fps playing a game at 1080p. Crank that shit up and put it at 4k. If there's minimal difference in performance over the last couple CPU generations because the GPU is the bottleneck, that's an amazingly useful result. 120
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/03/2025What matters to a user is answering one big question: "If I have these parts, how much gain will I get if I upgrade this one part? Is that worth the cost?" They can then evaluate several options for that component, or other components, and figure out where to best spend their money. 120
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/03/2025CPU reviews frustrate me. Nobody is spending $500+ on a CPU so they can play games at 1080p. Yes, I get it, you're trying to eliminate the GPU as a bottleneck so you can capture theoretical improvements to gaming performance. That does not reflect the real world. 120
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 05/03/2025After years of pounding the drum about the importance of being open source, AMD is backtracking with FSR4. What the actual fuck. 010
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 27/02/2025It sucks so much when a friend loses interest (or forgets about you) and drifts x) 021
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/02/2025I don't make friends when I argue with people, and they never change, because they don't care about being right. I don't know how to be better about this stuff. If I call people out for misinformation, am I fighting a good fight? Or should I learn to detach myself and just let shit slide? How? 320
Twile @twile.bsky.social · 13/02/2025Early in the year I promised myself I'd stop arguing with people online. That lasted... days. I'm really trying to be better about this stuff, but it's immensely frustrating to sit back quietly when people are intentionally misleading others. 130
