The chaparral 2j, a racing car painted in white with the numeral 66 on painted kn the side. The front end looks like a standard racing car, but the back end is a Frankenstein monster of a rectangular box. It looks very incongruent with the normal contours you expect of a racecar.

Rear view of the chaparral 2j, which highlights the extremely boxy back end that doesn't look like it belongs on a racing vehicle. However, what can be seen are the giant ass vacuum turbines installed into the rear chassis. It could be confused for jet intake turbines placed into two giant washing machine cubes welded together.

It ain't pretty, but it raced so good they outlawed it. Just like women want.

Trust me. If, of all people, Grant Morrison of all people wanted to center a Superman story on his "alien nature", he would have done so and made it extremely weird and outstandingly off-putting. The man is not known for being subtle. Gunn took the right inspirations from that story.

Two Girls and a Guy. I actually saw a few of these oddball art house films RDJ was in after his drug conviction in the 90s. This one comes off as an one act off-broadway stage play. Unusual cinematic instance where polyamory is mentioned as a solution for the romantic conflict.
