For my final day endorsement, I was going to draw a sexy gravure photo style image, but then I wanted to depict him as the wholesome family man who is explaining the censors why his risky photos have been all over the internet. Help Tenna and vote: www.tumblr.com/mimosa-sexyp... #tenna #tennasweep

It’s the final push to support Tenna, the all-purpose moemoe TV! The opponents are fearsome bachelors: the cooking prodigy dwarf Senshi, and science teacher Ryland Grace played by that super ikemen Ryan Gosling! It’s the battle between 2D and 3D, humans and non-humans!

I don't spend as much time on Tomodachi Life as I used to, but I consistently keep checking that Battat and Tenna won't divorce.

You can’t fit a standard size D6 inside him. But a smaller one fits perfectly and you can keep it there forever.

Needy Girl Overdose anime is SO good and I'm feeling so hyped after the latest episode (10). Yuri Jesus and Judas are real. Purple Lollipop-chan is so cute and cool, and the way this show portrays online friendship mixed with parasocial behaviour is very unique!

Last night, my theater experience was very good, people were quiet and well-behaving (I’m quite sure I raised the median age of the audience at least by a couple of years, though). My seat was next to this big, purple Jax head that was being carried in IKEA bag, and I thought that was funny. #TADC

Some choices are quite strange to me. For example, here NicoNico ("NitaNita Douga") is changed to Vine. But I associate Vine clips with people who are the opposite of "hikokomori otaku" image. You could say here e.g. "I miss Newgrounds/old YouTube", if you had to make the changes.

Japanese version of YunYun Syndrome, talk about video streaming platforms

English version of YunYun Syndrome, "NitaNita Douga" (NicoNico Douga) is changed to Vine.

020

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 27/04/2026

It particularly annoys me when YunYun talks like this, because she's supposed to be a fictional character who is a demon and has a specific speech tic (yun~). I don't know, if a character I love appeared to me in my delusions and started talking like t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m, this would be my reaction.

Screenshot from YunYun Syndrome where YunYun says "Oof, that mega suxx0rz" (translation: "Oh, that's too bad").

120

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 27/04/2026

Sometimes it feels like there are several people writing the translation. For example, Qtie's posts about YunYun don't have any (forced and unnatural) "gen Z internet talk", and that's when she's actually posting on the internet. But then sometimes it switches to that kind of tone when she talks.

Screenshots from the rhythm game mode, where Qtie posts about YunYun while the player needs to hit the right keys.

100

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 27/04/2026

Example of a reference that was not changed: "That's what I'd call doting up a cat!". "Dote Up A Cat" (Neko Kawaigari) is an eroge from year 2006. While a legend among the genre's fans, wouldn't you say that's more obscure to modern players than something like Fate or Steins;Gate? So it's weird.

YunYun Syndome joke about "Dote Up A Cat".

110

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 27/04/2026

... Huh, that conversation doesn't seem to make much sense with this response. What YunYun is saying in the original: "By the way, Q-chan, aren't you interested in Vtubers? There are so many cuties out there!". At least to me, sounds the complete opposite of what is being said in the translation...

120

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 26/04/2026

There are also some where I simply think the choice of words sound strange to me, for example I have never really seen people saying "cogito ergo sum types" when you could easily say something like "lots of armchair philosophers" or even "sure is lot of DEEP thinkers here" to get that vibe here.

000

nrp @tweekbros.coffee · 26/04/2026

I can give you some... For example, here's "ojisan koubun" was originally translated as "australian english", then "boomer speech alert". But "ojisan koubun" is how middle-aged guys type, using lots of emojis young people don't use, unnecessary line breaks and mixing katakana, giving a "creep vibe".

Poipiku finally updated the guidelines and the concealment guidelines got officially reverse and are now pretty much as they were before the December update. They also posted an apology statement for causing confusion and stated that they want to keep protecting the freedom of expression.

6. Criteria for application of concealment processing

If any of the following items are included, they must be concealed:
- Any area where genitals or similar structures are exposed or penetrated
- The area where the genitals, anus, or similar objects join with another person or object
- Parts that can identify individuals
- Parts depicting crime or self-harm in which the means of committing the crime are clearly visible

7. Concealment Processing Standards

Concealment refers to the following:
- Details are obscured by solid coloring, white-out lines, black lines, white lines, masking, patterns, partial erasure, or obscuration by other objects.
- Details are obscured by mosaic processing with a side size of 1/100 pixel or 4 pixels, whichever is larger, or any larger.

If concealment processing is required, all of the following criteria must be met:
- Concealment has been applied to all areas that meet the criteria for concealment application.
- The concealment process cannot be removed or mitigated.
- In the case of line drawings, the outlines must also be concealed.

When concealing content, if the part that should be concealed becomes unclear as a result of concealing a part of it, it will be deemed to have been concealed.

Apology statement from Pipa.jp: basically apologizing for causing confusion for the guideline update, and stating that they have reversed them.
