Yeah, I asked in our NC HWA Discord, and other writers seemed positive about it. It is a flash piece that was really an opening to a story, but a teacher said, "This is flash. A full story." In any event, I'm still submitting to other places, but it was nice to get more than just a rejection.

I got rejected for an annual publication. The editor said they would hold onto it for consideration in 2027. So... not a rejection... yet.

Watched Backrooms with my daughter Monday night and enjoyed it. Several surprised screams but I wish I’d seen in theatre. I felt way too safe sitting at home on my couch.
