I was at a McDonald's once. Eating. A cop showed up looking for a missing kid. He harassed me and intimidated me because I'm trans. While leaving I heard a kid yell, it sounded like it was from a locked car. The cops were still nearby. So I did nothing. Am I a bad person? I think about this often.

When I was 17 I ran away from home. I lived in a shed for 2 weeks. It was -20 degrees outside. The shed had a couch and I made a blanket with my clothes. That was the most free I had ever felt. I only returned because I was cold. I became obsessed with freedom only to realize freedom isn't real.
