Hah! It just cooled enough to serve and it is great. Tomatoes, shallots, garlic, basil and a balsamic vinegar honey with beefstock sauce baked in. I'm fairly sure pizza lovers would enjoy it too. No cheese though the chef said Feta if one wished.

Saw a video for a tomatatin that looked & sounded tasty. Bought the ingredients the other day but forgot I sold off my cast iron fry pan sets & had to try this in an aluminum cake pan. Looks like a sloppy pizza but once it cools I think it'll be pretty satisfying. Esthetic flop supper success!

Long ago, walking past Brown University with my lover. He ran over to a car, opened the door and yanked a woman out. She was being assaulted by a man. I stood between him & my Tim & the student but I was not the brave one who acted without hesitation. Pride in my lover validated completely that eve❣️

Today watching another Thai BL/Gay series episode & the 'aha' moment was that my youth was totally bereft of queer content on public media. Now one could literally watch something new 24/7 with men kissing men, flirting, hooking up, falling in love and even marrying one another with never a repeat❣️❣️

#ResistanceRoots Today in history, 1904: A train filled with white, Catholic orphans pulls into Clifton, Ariz. Enraged that the children are being adopted by Mexican American families, a white mob abducts the children from their new homes at gunpoint and redistributes them to white families. /1

Some of the Irish Catholic orphans who arrived by train in Clifton, Ariz., in 1904. The Arizona Orphan Abduction of 1904 remains one of the most explosive and revealing chapters in the history of race relations and family law. The aftermath permanently altered the trajectory of child welfare. The Supreme Court ruling codified race as the most critical factor in child placement, cementing the doctrine that non-white parents had no legal right to raise a white child. The case normalized a practice in which social workers matched children to parents based on racial categories, a standard that lasted into the late 20th century. Eastern charities drastically scaled back sending children to western territories, shifting instead to localized, legally sterile foster systems. The children stolen in Arizona never returned to New York and never saw their Mexican mothers again. They grew up as white Protestants, their identities rewritten by a flashpoint of frontier racial panic.

Posted this on another site where most of the people are close friends, work colleagues & family. More than a bit disappointed that the only responders were women. A bit of a litmus test I think. It wasn't until I was the stepfather of 2 girls that my "men are a potential threat" radar kicked in.

Keep hearing about rapists being exposed & the 50 in a group chat being exposed. How about the abominations in Cornell administration who assigned an essay as consequences? These people must be outed for enabling the next rape by a slap on the wrist for the offenders. Responsibility there too.

I agree wholeheartedly, not to mention that some straight romances were written by queer men and women with a sometimes thinly disguised gay theme. Also an aside; why are some of the best historical and contemporary queer novels written by women? Thx for pointing this out.
