it’s funny because I think the flyers win in the playoffs last year already had the wind knocked out when a) the penguins refused to go down without a fight and b) it became very clear that carolina was going to eat whoever made it past the first round

That was a 60-minute beatdown. From the opening drop of the puck, the forecheck gave the Flyers fits, and they had no answer. Defensively, they took everything away and played a simple, crisp game. Great way to open the season for the Penguins.
