Finally remember to post the art I commissioned for my qpr shadowpeach fic, Meanwhile the World Goes On! It's made by @/Westywuzhere on twitter :)

Art of Macaque and Wukong, with Wukong trapped in the Five Phases Mountain in LMK. Macaque is cupping Wukong's cheek with his right hand and holding Wukong's exposed hand with his left. Wukong has a small smile on his face, leaning into Macaque's palm.

WAIT I FORGOT I HAD A BLUESKY lmao check out my qpr-shadowpeach fic inspired by cult of the lamb! You dont have to know about cotl to follow it tbh. Chapter 5 was posted recently :) archiveofourown.org/works/564518... #LMK #shadowpeach

An ao3 fic titled "Meanwhile the World Goes On" with the summary:

“You have led your brethren astray in your ambition to wreak havoc in Heaven, but they are not too far gone for redemption. The seals used in your binding will be sustained by qi and guarded by the lives of your former accomplices, the Demon Bull King, the Yellowtusk Elephant, the Golden Winged Peng, and the Azure Lion, all of whom have stepped up and surrendered after your capture, no longer forced to follow your hubris.”

-

The Brotherhood fails, Sun Wukong is captured, but instead of a monk taking him on a pilgrimage after 500 years spent under the Five Phases Mountain, a great betrayal ensures his fate is condemned to eternal confinement. Heavy with rage and grief, the Monkey King calls upon his warrior in the hope that one day he will be freed.
