It’s only March but I’m afraid I’ve probably already seen my Movie of the Year

#私の推しは悪役令嬢 #ILTV #wataoshi I was playing Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and did not expect to run into Ralaire in Hyrule of all places

ngl I think my completionist nature was what helped me become a RWBY fan because I wasn’t blown away when I first watched V1-2 But because there were 10 episodes of V3 out at the time I -had- to see it through and fortunately V3 was a certified banger and cemented me as a fan lol

Happened across Metal Virus Sonic when I was Christmas shopping last week I haven’t dabbled in collecting the Jakks Sonic figures but I feel like I’d have regretted it one day if I passed on picking it up

I wasn’t expecting to see the SOS Brigade in the Prohibition era in the new Haruhi Suzumiya book but damn they look sharp in those suits

The first (half)new Haruhi Suzumiya book in four years 🥰 I’m glad it dropped on a Friday so that I could enjoy it over the weekend

#私の推しは悪役令嬢 #ILTV #wataoshi Arla has always had a striking description in the light novel so it’s great to finally see her debut in the manga 🤗

Ah yes, my favorite paperback novel - Ace Attorney: Season One

Weston | The Turnabout King @turnaboutwot.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

The funny thing about all three of these stories is that they made me want entire spinoff novels of each I’d love a Loretta/Pepi novel where they navigate getting married, a Melia novel that can go deeper into her life story, and more stories about early-relationship Rae/Claire

Weston | The Turnabout King @turnaboutwot.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

[Misunderstandings] This was a funny, light story to end the book on I typically wince at the misunderstanding trope but I like that this story is slotted in very early into Rae & Claire’s relationship where it makes sense for Claire’s insecurities to get the best of her

[Things Passed On] This one was a real treat. Considering how significant Melia is to Claire’s entire arc, getting to learn more about Melia through her POV was wonderful It gave us better insight into who she was, her relationship with Dole & the true nature of her death 😢

[Echoes of a New Era] One of my personal highlights of SSCC was getting to learn more about Loretta & Pepi so I was delighted that we got an epilogue story showing how they were post-Revolution I love that they are somehow more of a mess as a couple than Rae & Claire are lol

#私の推しは悪役令嬢 #ILTV #wataoshi I was finally able to read the Extra Stories that were included in the light novel version of SSCC Volume 3 so these are my brief thoughts on all three of them:

Harley’s goblin/goober expressions in the tie-in comics are made even funnier considering the Harley Quinn show points to Harley being in her mid-30s Her whimsy has only increased with age

030

Weston | The Turnabout King @turnaboutwot.bsky.social · 20/10/2024

I’m guessing they opted to just stick with “Harley Quinn” since renaming it would likely create confusion with people thinking it’s a separate series Still I think it’d have been a nice way to mark the shift in the series’ status quo

010

Weston | The Turnabout King @turnaboutwot.bsky.social · 20/10/2024

It was cute to have it at the end of Season 3’s premiere but I really do think they could have stuck to calling the show “Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy” from that point onwards S3-4 have been closer to 50/50 when it comes to Harley’s & Ivy’s story focus so it would make sense imo

I definitely plan to make posts about funny things I encounter! Not sure how much I’ll post about AAI2 here since it’s still “new” to a lot of people and Bluesky doesn’t allow me to hide spoiler images But I’ll definitely be posting a lot of AAI1 when I replay it lol

010

Weston | The Turnabout King @turnaboutwot.bsky.social · 06/09/2024

OH!! It’s the unused crime scene from AAI’s beta! It took place near Wright & Co. Law Offices so that might explain why Pearl is there!

I checked out the Ace Attorney segment of Capcom’s PAX panel and I immediately noticed the character names on the textbox being entirely uppercase compared to the demo/final build which stuck with the usual lettering Just a curious little nothing of an observation lol

I think it’d be fun if Ace Attorney 7 found a way to repurpose some of these designs Considering the 25th Anniversary is just around the corner, if AA7 releases 2025/2026 it’d be a nice nod
