The first example of "inorganic life" is Blixa Bargeld. When I listen to the original version of Sand, I hear a creepy cowboy trying to seduce a generation younger person. But the Einstürzende Neubauten cover sounds like a song performed by a literal SAND slowly covering a hallucinating traveler 🤗
