I try to avoid wading into generational issues, but kids really do need to be allowed to play outside and just be kids. Not the kids fault, not really even the parents. A society that drowns us in fear, and strangers punishing both kids and parents alike when they try is disgusting.

Watched TOYS for the first time since I was in the single digits. Good, certainly doesn't deserve the hate. Visuals are way ahead of their time, music was good, and most acting was decent. Robin Williams wasn't bad by any means, but he spent more time riffing than acting.

Watched an episode of Beakman's World for the first time since the 90s. Gave me that warm feeling when you feel like a kid again, just watching TV. Plus, it was good to see an adult that tried to fun for kids AND treat them like thinking beings. #Beakman'sWorld

And now my sister is in the hospital. It doesn't sound serious, but I am tired of these calls. Watching both parents die of cancer, all four grandparents die (3/4 were strokes), I forget how many aunts and uncles. I'm just tired of loosing family. I don't want my nephews to loose their mother.

I think that, on some level, AI is a good thing. Not AI itself (outsode of specific circumstances), but the fact the it's forcing us to work out our relationship with technology. Up until now, we kinda just let technology into our lives, regardless of whether or not it was actually to our benefit.

I'm old enough to clearly remember the 90s. The climate WAS more balanced and less volatile. We most definitely felt and talked about the effects of climate change. Don't let them lie about how the climate has always been like this, or that the discussion is new. #ClimateChange

I'm not anti-capitalism, but I do believe that if it wants to continue existing, it needs to be leashed. They need to be removed permanently from politics, forced to pay for damages and repairs to the environment and communities, submit to corporate busting. Any that don't are punished severely.

People really need to stop comparing dumb politicians and media figures to Curly from the Three Stooges. Jerome "Curly" Howard was a comedic genus, a kind and generous person. My great great grandfather (dad's mom's mom's dad) was Native American. And that sentence is the amount I know. I have no intention of going around, pretending to be indigenous. That experience has never been my own. But it is a part of my family's story I'd love to know more about.

AI is bad. But people REALLY need to stop misrepresenting the threat it poses. It can never become sentient, it is not Skynet. It is a tool that is being misused. It is pattern recognition software. No AI can even come close to the least capable human mind. Stop the scares, focus on the real issues.

I truly believe we've at the point where we, the people, need to start getting extremely serious about climate change. We need to stop relying on politicians and the famous, get uncomfortable, and fix this. Hard work, but our planet, and our continued existence, depends on it. #ClimateChange
