I'm thinking about plastic merch and its ecological impact, and how to help reduce it. I'd love to see more things like relief prints, so I'm experimenting with that. Imagine going to an artists alley with a stamp book and for say, two bucks the artist will stamp it. I would go nuts for that stuff.

The city of Overwyrm is named after a great wyrm that built a nest at the river's edge ages ago. After a conflict between it and the Rotting Mother, it went quiet. But legend has it that the wyrm once drank the river dry and belched clouds to sate its terrible thirst.

I love brush chatting. 90% of Aphelion is Frenden's Organic Inker, purchased years ago. I think there's a lot more variants in his current sets so I'm not even sure which brush it's most similar to now.

I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of in-universe items and souvenirs, so here's a bunch of these stamps. They'd be given away or sold at holy places, and would either be used for rituals or as pretty collectable tchotchkes. Like pokemon with Catholic saint aesthetics.

Printmaking is ubiquitous on the peninsula, with prints serving as art, books, and religious items. The prints shown above are purchased at a site of veneration of the Mother, and buried in the woods to forge a closer connection between Her and whomever buried them.

We are working on crawling by doing tummy time with the baby, and our efforts at enticing movement by placing a toy out of reach have been thwarted because because they figured out how to pull the blanket they're on towards them instead of going to it. A clear demonstration of warp drive mechanics.

I like to add an overlay layer of noise onto my B&W art to mimic eigengrau, making the dark grays feel like what would usually be the darkest perceivable black, which in turn makes the flat blacks feel darker. Anyway I finally found out what it's called! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eigengrau

Vitamins are annoying and complicated, and gut issues make it worse. I have to take iron on an empty stomach, and then vitamin D2 (D3 gives me insomnia) with fats, and then magnesium at night. It's stupid! Something in prenatal vitamins made me sick so I had like ten bottles of separate vitamins.

My apologies if you've already been through this, but have your doctors run the usual "I feel like shit" blood tests? It's usually B12, iron, thyroid or vitamin D that they look for. Ooof, visual snow syndrome, I only have it a bit, sounds annoying.

The weirdly shaped nose is a drag reducing aerospike (annoyingly not to be confused with an aerospike engine). I'm using it mostly because a regular cone looked boring. There's a tension between realism and what looks best, though I personally think they cohere better than many people realize.

I understand Nolan's desire to use practical effects for the Trinity explosion in Oppenheimer, but I wish he tried using fluid dynamics like The Fountain (2006) instead of just a big old gas explosion. You can get some stunning and eerie effects that way, and it's still all practical.
