turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I kinda love that Claude always defaults the random seed in generated code as 42. Not that Claude (or any model) picked 42 for reasons, but that it's so ingrained in coding pop culture that it's just baked into the models 020 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Also picked up this Kurume azalea (Hino Crimson) last weekend. I’m fairly excited about the prominent root structure showing. I never see that in nursery stock. I’ll repot it into proper soil in the spring and then reduce the 5-trunk base down to 3 the next year 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 13/10/2026It’s kinda crazy. We usually see 1-2 a year and we’ve seen 5 in the past two weeks 100 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Yes, my email account has 7,455 emails in it. No, I'll never get this to a manageable level. Yes, I enjoy spending hours combing through old emails to purge crap. I'm a data organizer, what can I say 000 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 12/10/2026That’s even better. Then again “Fellowship of the Tamale” would be more accurate 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I had a dream last night that I could write pseudocode in vscode that would generate a cupcake 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026(Before/After) rewired this western hemlock with some style changes. I'm happier with how the apex turned out. This has been a learning tree from the beginning. It probably won't make a great bonsai but it's been good practice material for some techniques like using rebar, raffia and heavy wire 2101 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The news mentioned one of the workers said there was a silent walkout today 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 04/10/2026It took 4 days for the ferment to kick off but it’s going strong now. I think I’ll let it go 1 more week then process the hot sauce 031 0
Reposted by turbomaura quint @mauraquint.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun. 169188914735 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I love Penzeys marketing, I really do. It's why I don't unsubscribe. They make no bones about where they stand, like "Fuck Trump and how about some fancy cinnamon for your toast?" 001 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh! I had a Speak and Spell too. Didn’t help me much though, still can’t spell. Our first home computer was an IBM PC model 5150 with disk 5.25” floppies 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I've seen people talk about using a cabbage leaf with holes poked through it on top of a fermentation to help keep all the smaller pieces from floating up to the top. I bet a fermentation weight on top of a cabbage leaf (on top of the mash) would work really well 011 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Oh interesting. I think I might try that. 2 week ferment, mash + 1 week additional ferment. Thanks for the idea! 110 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Also, did you cook the finished ferment before you bottled/jar'd it or store it fresh? 110 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026"a week of mash", does that mean you immersion blended it and then let it continue to ferment for another week? I'm planning on a 2 week fermentation and then processing into jars, but I'm curious about what you did 110 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I’m gonna ferment this one. I’m thinking about throwing so whole seed spices in the ferment, like cumin, coriander and Szechuan pepper 110 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 21/09/2026LOL thanks. Mostly I’m just trying to learn new techniques and stuff. My fine detailed styling/wiring is still shit 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Video of me using rebar to put a pretty big bend in the trunk to get the tree more upright #bonsai 040 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Someday #bonsai is so fun and rewarding that’s all I want to do, and other days nothing goes right and your work looks like crap. Today is the second 010 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026and to be clear we didn’t pay that much, it was donated to the fundraise by the chef. I don’t think there is any food item I’d ever pay that much for 110 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Yea, it’s amazing but not full of gold 😂. It was made by some local famous chef…pretty sure that’s why it was valued so much 221 0
turbo @turbo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Yikes. So we’re going from vacuum tubes straight to Claude code? 100 0
