We’re making some security and permission adjustments required for Tube to operate, moving toward much more restricted permissions for a better user experience. When the update goes live, you may need to log in again. This is normal.

The immersive mode is now available to everyone. It’s disabled by default and can be enabled in Settings → Appearance. It’s available whether you’re logged in or not.

We have integrated a Matomo analysis tool for Tube, it respects the recommendations of the CNIL in France to avoid the cookie banner. All data is anonymous, and the server is in France. We therefore respect the GDPR.

Some UI fixes and changes. Adding @bsky.app , @blackskyweb.xyz , and @mu.social color themes to Tube. Adding a “Go Live” option for @stream.place directly from Tube. The next major update will be live tonight.

Generating a stream key from @stream.place and going live directly from Tube is now implemented. We’ve finished a few things before deploying the update.
