My Luna has a fever. It could be a couple of things but the vet gave her some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. I gotta keep and eye on her for next couple days. I hope she feels better soon.

Man, it sure was nice having a whole 3 days off from both jobs and then 2 days with only 1 job. It's hard to make the decision to be poor and healthier (not depressed and overworked) or to have a comfortable enough, if not large, living wage to where I'm not super stressed about money. Sigh.

Well it's a girl! Welcome Nox to the family. Vet has checked out this stray kitten and gave her the clear and is in good health. No microchip. Thinks she is about 8 to 9 weeks old.

I know I haven't posted much good news lately, isn't much to share tbh. I'm pretty exhausted but I'm looking forward to my mom visiting next month. It's nice having her around and we both get to relax. I've got some things planned but we will play it by ear. It'll be nice to take a couple days off.

Well if I wasn't already stressed from both works, turns out the contract worker for my full time job quit. I imagine the work load got to be too much to handle. Which I completely understand. I don't blame her. But now the barely keeping up with work will now be behind and more stressful.

A customer at 2nd job asked me how I was doing (usual small talk when ya work retail) & I said I'm alright. She said "You look overstimulated". I just nodded & said "very much so". She was nice & allowed me to catch my breath but I wish more people were observant like that. I should try harder too.

I let Luna outside (on her harness and leash) to play with the neighbor cat. They got all kissy. When I brought her back in she sat on the floor all proud of herself. She looked like she was saying "Look at me, all mature now because I had my first kiss" She's a silly bean.

Just love work when I don't get a heads up and they want me to do at least 3 days of work in 1 day. So when I say no way, I mean it. But that's somehow not acceptable. This is a broader problem of our society wanting instant gratification among other things but like why can't you hear me say no?

Ugh, it's been an exhausting morning. Also, looks like some OT this week and in the coming weeks. I've been asking my boss to hire at least a part timer for a year now and sent another email yesterday. She's now straight up ignoring it. Do I go over her head and ask those above her?
